The frame is a massive, compact and solid casting which takes less floor space for its capacity The feed drive is built to stand up under the hardest kind of services The feed rolls are of such design that the advantages of the open side type of construction are combined with of the advantages of the inside The top and bottom head assemblies are of the most substantial construction The top head chip breaker is made of chilled cast iron section, each section being spring loaded and adjustable The side head spindles are short and of large diameter The side head chipbreaker moves in and out with the head and is also provided with an additional screw adjustment for close setting The bedding is continuous throughout the entire length of the machine
