Mill Innovations & Design TS-4000

The TS-4000 Automated Tie & Timber stacker eliminates employees, reduces injuries and workman comp claims by removing the back breaking physical labor from stacking cross-ties and all large timbers. Made in America, the TS-4000 is a must for sawmills that produce railroad ties, cross ties, matt timbers or any large flitches.
  • •The TS-4000 does not require the hiring of any extra employees.
  • •The TS-4000 handles the job of stacking ties and timbers in any configuration you decide, continually bundling and stacking until a full load has been completed.
  • •The TS-4000 reduces the fees paid to Worker's Compensation by improving the safety of the sawmill environment.
  • •The Railroad Tie Stacker shuts off the parts of the machine that are not needed at that moment, saving your mill money as it cuts down on electrical demands.
  • •The TS-4000 can be monitored remotely, either via a wired control assembly in a nearby room, or wirelessly via smart phone or tablet.
  • The TS-4000 can stack up to 500 timbers, like railroad ties, per hour.
  • •The rugged design and the keep-it-simple electronics of the TS-4000 means that this machine will run continuously without a mechanical complaint or technical glitch.
  • •The TS-4000 will make money for your sawmill as it opens up new ways of generating revenue.
  • •There are no "Made in China" stickers on the TS-4000. The Automated Timber Stacker is built in the heart of Ohio's sawmill country.
  • Technical Specifications
  • The TS-4000 footprint is 115 inches long by 102 inches wide, with a 36 infeed height.
  • The TS-4000 requires 110V single-phase AC power. The stacker can run off a minimum 10-amp breaker.
  • The TS-4000 requires 10 gallons per minute at 1,500 PSI.
  • The TS-4000 features a Sauer Danfoss Plus+1 Controller. There are no mechanical relays to fail, and the controller has a IP67 rating with an operating temperature range of -40 F to 158 F.
  • A Service Tool program is included with the operating system allowing you to easily change parameters with your own computer.
  • The TS-4000 features proximity and ultrasonic sensors, which do not use lenses, and are not affected by dust, grime and dirt. Your machine will run accurately and efficiently, without mid-job stops or errant behavior.
  • The TS-4000 utilizes modern Anson split-bearings that employs polyurethane inserts that have better wear and shock absorbing properties (as compared to the older, more trouble prone Poured Babbitt bearings).
  • The TS-4000 utilizes a Sterling Electric gear box with a 2 3/16 hollow bore shaft, with a ratio of 15:1, driven by a Eaton hydraulic motor. The gearbox drives an 81X chain.
