IN-WOODS EXPO 2011 – DATE CHANGE!
Rockville, MD – The Arkansas Timber Producers Association and the Forest Resources Association have selected new dates for In-Woods Expo 2011, to be staged on a managed forest in western Arkansas, moving the previously announced April dates to May 19-21, 2011.
“Looking at recent weather patterns in the midSouth, we concluded that we would find more favorable conditions for exhibitors and visitors in mid-May than in late April,” commented Larry Boccarossa, Executive Director of In-Woods Expo partner Arkansas Timber Producers Association.
In-Woods Expo 2011 will be the third such collaboration between FRA and ATPA. In-Woods Expo 2007, staged in a Weyerhaeuser forest near Hot Springs, drew a total attendance of 4,887 loggers, foresters, landowners, and others to view equipment in action on forested sites up to six acres in size. Over 605 landowners, loggers, and foresters participated in continuing education sessions at the same site.
FRA President Richard Lewis stated that the two associations had examined the calendar and found the mid-May dates free of conflicts. “We’re confident that the country and the industry will be in full recovery by 2011, and we hope everyone will clear the dates to make this In-Woods Expo a resource for a recovering harvesting sector,” he commented.
In-Woods Expo 2011, May 19-21, 2011 in western Arkansas, will be a joint project of the Arkansas Timber Producers Association and the Forest Resources Association. Please visit www.in-woods-expo.com.
